I made it!

Finally made it to Hilo this afternoon! All my flights went well and all luggage accounted for.


Had some free time this afternoon to explore downtown, everything is so green and beautiful! Went to a local market and accidentally got 15 bananas instead of 3…but other than that everything is going great! Leaving for HAVO tomorrow morning.

    Well, there's a simple explanation as to the banana snafu. They don't speak American!!! 😂😂😂😂

    When I spent a summer in Cameroon, I once bought 2 kilograms of peanuts instead of 2 small bags. It was good motivation to improve local language skills quickly, and I learned lots of ways to cook with peanuts.
    If you have not started a journal yet, do consider it. So much happens so fast....
